You get an opening hand on deal 21 of the Amanora Pairs -
   ♠A93 ♥Q76 ♦KJT9432 ♣-
'Opening hand', did I say? Why, yes! It pays to open light - makes it easier for us, harder for the opponents.
So, after RHO passes, you open 1♦, partner responds 1♥ and now RHO finds a takeout DBL.
You rebid your diamonds and partner skips several bidding levels and bids 4N!
Now, this should be a quantitative 4N, but you know your partner's not very scientific and respond 5♥ (two Keycards, no ♦Q).
Partner confirms all the goodies with 5N and you show your 7th diamond by jumping to 7♦. Partner's anxious and pleased at the same time, RHO seems to be depressed.
LHO leads a small spade and this is what you see:
    ♠ J52
    ♥ AJT8
    ♦ AQ
    ♣ AKQT
    ♠ A93
    ♥ Q76
    ♦ KJT9432
    ♣ -
Small spade, small, Queen, Ace. Now what?
You have 7 diamonds, 3 clubs and the 2 major Aces for a total of 12 tricks. Where's the 13th?
21 points in dummy, 10 with you and RHO has very graciously told you he has the remainder of the pack with his DBL.
Finessing hearts is not likely to be successful. The ♣J is not likely not drop. If LHO has the ♠10 (as indicated by the trick 1 defence), there's no ♥ - ♠ squeeze on RHO. Entry problems preclude a ♠ - ♣ or a ♥ - ♣ squeeze too.
Well, if you can't squeeze RHO in 2 suits, why not try 3? With a trump element to the squeeze, this has to be a rare bird you're going for! Here we go-
Win Spade Ace, cross to dummy with ♦A, cash the three top clubs to see if the Jack drops (it doesn't.. there's going to be a story after all!), overtake the ♦Q and start running diamonds till dummy's down to three singletons-
    ♠ J
    ♥ A
    ♦ -
    ♣ T
    ♠ -
    ♥ Q7
    ♦ 2
    ♣ -
Its very tiresome keeping track of all the enemy discards, so you've just been checking for the three big ones - ♣J, ♠K, ♥K. None of them have appeared so far, and RHO must have all of them.. yes, he's sweating. A heart to the Ace felling the King and cross back with a ruff to cash the fairest queen of them all.
A three suit trump squeeze! Well bid, partner; thanks, dear Right Hand Opponent; next deal, please!
